Special Swiss Education

Swiss has very different education system.
I always think China’s education system has critical issues. Maybe Swiss way is a good refernce for us.

There are 3 different ways of education paths.
1. 70% people will do this one: after 9 years of mandatory education, people select to go to some companies as an intern or apprentice. there they will learn the knowledge which can be used directly in future. At the same time, they will also use a bit time to take courses in college. After normally 3 years of training, they learn both the knowledge from book and knowledge from work. With this way, if they go to any company, they don’t need the time for training, but join the projects directly. While, in China, those graduates who only know the theory from books, but sometimes not that useful for work.
2. 20% people will do this way: this is the way same as in China and USA, after 9 years education, go the university.
3. 10% rich 2nd-generation: they have lots of money. So they don’t study hard; just go to some private schools to get some certificates.

So, you can see the benefits from them, especially the first way. They trained lots of very useful people for the society. Not just focus on the certificates, but focus on the people skills. This is the real “people oriented”.
