Importing BizTalk Applications to Production Environment

Importing BizTalk Applications to Production Environment

In BizTalk Server 2006, you can use the BizTalk Administration Console to import a BizTalk application (via an MIS file). The import process controls the sequence of shutting down services and provides he administrator with input to control and consider application references and dependencies. In addition, it controls the registering of BizTalk and .Net application artifacts into GAC.

On the final screen of the Import .msi Wizard, select Run the Application Installation Wizard to install the application on the local computer, and then click Finish.

Installing an application is as easy as running the MSI.  When the MSI is executed the necessary assemblies will be copied and registered into the GAC (Global Assembly Cache) on the server where the MSI is being run.  You must install the application on every server that will run the application.
