Got some BI softwares last year via ftp server provided by CGF. As ETL tools like informatica , datastage,sagent become popular in China, I made a decision to try understanding one of them. Microsoft DTS is a useful and simple tool, but when I was doing ETL job in MinShen Bank, some ugly flaws like versions control, multi user development, weak workflow condition control etc hurt me so .
BI2.2 developing for O9(our internal project) is in progress, but I also have some time free to learn something. Why not have a nice check with those new ETL friends? This week was good time for me to explore such unknow area . I had just installed, configured, and also developed some tasks about informatica 6.0. Now It's pretty good time to summarize what I had got from these works.
