104. Maximum Depth of Binary Tree

Given a binary tree, find its maximum depth.

The maximum depth is the number of nodes along the longest path from the root node down to the farthest leaf node.

/**
 * Definition for a binary tree node.
 * public class TreeNode {
 *     int val;
 *     TreeNode left;
 *     TreeNode right;
 *     TreeNode(int x) { val = x; }
 * }
 */
public class Solution {
    int max = 0;
    public int maxDepth(TreeNode root) {
        if(root == null) return 0;
        if(root.left == null && root.right == null) return 1;
        return Math.max(maxDepth(root.left) +1, maxDepth(root.right) + 1);
    }
}
