Maximum solver duration 最大求解时间

Here, the maximum simulation time of the solver run can be defined. This means that the simulation will stop after a certain time, which can be defined in three different ways.

However, often the simulation time will not reach these limits. It may be stopped earlier automatically by the steady-state test. The accuracy for this test is set in the solver dialog box. This test considers the energy decay as well as the decay of the port mode amplitudes. In addition custom stop criteria can be defined as described in the section below.

Number of pulses: Here, the simulation duration is calculated by multiplying the given number with the Gaussian pulse width that is used as stimulation signal. This pulse width depends on the frequency range of the reference excitation signal.

Please note: In case of non-Gaussian excitation signals (e.g. rectangular) with a given total time (Ttotal) this value prevails and determines the simulation duration. Similarly, in case of a transient co-simulation the simulation time is given by the setting of Tmax for the transient task. In both cases however, if a nearfield source excitation is used, the simulation time might be extended in order to correctly cover its input signal. If this happens an appropriate info message is generated.

Time: This number directly defines the maximum simulation time.   直接定义最大仿真时间。

Propagation distance: This number is used to describe the maximum simulation time via a length setting. The value will by divided by the speed of light.

Default: Pressing this button resets the Maximum solver duration to its default value. This corresponds to 20 pulses for the Number of pulses setting. The default value for the Propagation distance and Time settings corresponds to 20 times the maximum length (among the x, y and z axis) of the model bounding box and to the time spam required by an electromagnetic wave to travel it, respectively.
